International Student Code of Conduct

International Student Rules and Regulations

Bellow is a list of HSE rules and regulations all international students must comply with

• Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the HSE. Alcohol will only be permitted in HSE in the case of a special event, as provided by the school or a workshop provider.

• Food is not allowed inside the classrooms.

• Non-alcoholic beverages are permitted inside the classrooms

• HSE opening and closing times are 09.00 am to 08.00 pm, Monday through Friday. Students are not permitted in HSE building before or after these hours without permission from the responsible authority.

• HSE expects students to demonstrate courtesy and respect toward their fellow students as well as toward HSE faculty and staff.

• Students are expected to respect the property of others, including HSE property and facilities.

• Violence will not be permitted under any circumstances on any HSE property, or at any HSE activity. Any student who assaults a teacher, student, or member of staff will consequently have his/her program cancelled.

• No student should engage in verbal abuse based on race, place of origin, color, ethnicity, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, creed, age, marital status, or disability.

At Accommodation

• Respect for housemates is expected at all times.

• Overnight guests are not permitted.

• It is advisable to ask for approval before using something from the host's property or before eating from their provisions.

• We highly recommend, at the beginning of the stay, that the student discuss with the housemates any rules that do or might exist in order to prevent misunderstandings and awkward situations later.

• No illegal activities are permitted on the accommodation premises, building, yard, etc. This includes illegal drug use (including prescription drugs not prescribed to you), underage alcohol use, alcohol abuse resulting in property/personal damage or necessary medical attention etc., prostitution, and all other illegal activities under local and national laws. In the case of any such event, students will be asked to leave their accommodation without refund, and if and when appropriate, turned over to authorities.
